Last month we were in Guatemala visiting our friends at Conversiones SA. The company, founded by Julio Reyes and Julio Vargas in the 1990s, is an agricultural aviation operator (focused on the banana industry) and an agricultural aviation maintenance center. In addition to working with applications for large local and international groups, they also perform conversions from piston aircraft to turbo aircraft, provide services to other operators with engine overhauls, and distribute aircraft parts.
In 2019, Conversa began testing some Zanoni equipment on its aircraft. After approval by its pilots, the company decided to start reselling Brazilian products to other operators throughout Central America. Parts distribution is currently handled by Francisco Ortiz, who is responsible for taking care of a large stock of Zanoni parts in Guatemala City, serving agricultural aircraft from Mexico to Panama.
During the visit, we met with Guatemalan, Honduran, and Salvadoran customers. In addition to providing technical assistance to pilots who already operate Zanoni equipment, we took the opportunity to discuss new projects specific to the Central American reality and to seek new technologies for Brazilian agricultural aviation. We also had the opportunity to share a little about aerial application techniques in Brazil, contributing to the exchange of information and knowledge with agronomists from Guatemala.
We appreciate the warm welcome and continue with our purpose of being the company that contributes the most to the global agricultural aviation sector.
