Zanoni atomizers have been consolidating themselves as the best technology in the world for aerial application of fungicides and insecticides, already approved by hundreds of pilots in soybean, corn, cotton, banana and potato crops throughout the Americas, in protecting forests in Canada, in controlling mosquitoes in the USA and in combating locusts in Africa.
In recent months, our partners at SuperAir, one of the largest agricultural aviation operators in the eastern world, have started using our equipment to control Dothistroma, a fungus that attacks conifer plantations in New Zealand. The country has over 1.7 million hectares of pine plantations, making it the fourth most exported product by New Zealanders.
Our equipment is being used to apply fungicide, mainly at a flow rate of 5 L/ha, with a mixture of copper, vegetable oil and water. The work uses very fine droplets (close to 65 microns), due to the need for great penetration into the vegetation, which is quite dense. This type of result is only possible with technologies like ours.
